Frosting Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained (reserve liquid)
- 2 (1 pound boxes) of powdered sugar (confectioners sugar)
- Enough pineapple liquid to achieve desired consistency
Cream the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and beat until creamy. Important: Do not frost the cake until it has completely cooled to room temperature.
