Caramel Frosting

Ingredients

- 1/3 cup of butter
- 1 cup of brown sugar, packed
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1.5 cups of powdered sugar

Instructions

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the brown sugar and cook over low heat for exactly two minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the salt and the milk and continue stirring until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil it for exactly three minutes. Remove from the heat and cool.

After the mixture is cool, thoroughly mix in vanilla.

Gradually beat in the powdered sugar and continue beating until the mixture is smooth and of spreading consistency.
