- 2 pounds of ground beef
- 3/4 cup of dry red wine
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of grated onion
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheese
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 2 teasoons of minced parsley
Mix the meat with 1/2 cup of the wine, salt, pepper and onion. Chill the mixture for several hours.
- form the meat into 12 thin patties.
- top six of the patties with Cheese
- top those patties with the remaining 6 patties
- press the edges together to seal the cheese inside
Cut the garlic clove in half rub a skillet with both halves. Heat the butter in the skillet. Cook the meat patties in the butter until the meat is cooked throughout (recipe did give cooking time).
Place the meat patties on a heated serving platter and set aside.
Stir the remaining 1/4 cup of wine and the minced parsey into the pan juices. Heat thoroughly and pour over the meat.
