Gingerbread Cake Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of oil
- 1 cup of molasses
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 2-1/2 cups of flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 whole eggs
Struesel Topping Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 1-1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all of the struesel ingredients and set aside while you are making the gingerbread cake.
Mix all of the gingerbread cake ingredients an pour them into a greased and floured 13 inch cake pan.
Sprinkle the struesel ingredients over the top of the gingerbread batter.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
- Let it cool in the baking pan
