- 3 (1 ounce) squares of unsweetened chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Microwave the chocolate in a bowl at 50% power for 3 or 4 minutes or until the chocolate can be stirred smooth.
Add the butter and microwave at 100% power for 30 seconds or until the butter has melted.
Add the milk, sugar, egg and salt. Whisk all ingredints together until smooth.
Microwave the mixture at 70% power for about 6 to 9 minutes until it is thick and smooth.
After the mixture has cooled slightly, stir in the vanilla.
Serve the sauce warm or cold. Makes about 1-1/2 cup.
