- 1 pound of small okra pods
- 3/4 cup of cornmeal
- 3/4 cup of flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Mix cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper
Beat eggs and milk together
Wash okra, cut off the ends, and cut into half inch slices
Dip the okra slices in eggs, then in the flour mixture, keeping the okra pieces separated.
Fry the pieces in hot oil until very crisp, crunchy and brown.
Taste one piece to make sure they are cooked crispy enough.
