- 3 packages (3 ounces each) lime jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 cup crushed pineapple
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 2 tablespoons horseradish
- 1/2 cup walnuts
Dissolve jello in the two cups of boiling water. Mix in the two cups of cold water. After the cold water has been mixed in, mix in all of the other ingredients. Pour into a 9 x 12-inch loaf pan or a square or rectangular pan. Chill until set.
NOTE: Some cooks like to chill the mixture after adding cold water until is very slightly set, before adding the remianing ingredients, in order to prvent the pineapple and nuts from floating to the top before the mixture is set. If you do that, you will need to watch the chilling gelatin carefully so it does not set too much before you add the other ingredients.
