Salad Ingredients:
- 1 pound of uncooked macaroni
- 2 carrots, shredded or grated
Dressing Ingredients:
- 2.5 cups of mayonnaise
- Up to 1/4 cup of milk (optional - use only if salad is too thick)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
Cook macaroni till tender, then drain and rinse with cold water. Add carrots and mayonaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste If the mixture seems too thick and pasty add a little milk to thin it out.
Many other ingredients can also be added, such as pickles, olives, hard cooked eggs, cubed cooked potatoes, bits of meat, minced onion, mustard, vinegar, meat, seafood, poultry.
