- 12 ounce bag of fresh cranberries
- 3/4 to 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
Two Options:
- 2-1/4 teaspoons of finely grated (not shredded) orange peel
(or)
- 1 teaspoon of finely grated (not shredded) lemon peel
In a saucepan, mix the cranberries with the sugar, citrus peel and water.
Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook until the cranberries are soft, typically about ten minutes.

Cool to reoom temperature and the refrigerate to chill.
