- 1/2 pound of cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 pound of swiss cheese, shredded
- 2 cloves of garlic minced or sieved
- 1/2 teaspoon of dry powdered mustard
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup of beer
- tiny rounds of dark pumpernickel bread (optional)
Mix cheeses, garlic, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Gradually beat in beer until cheese is of spreading consistency. Store in the refrigerator. To serve, bring to room temperature and spread on bread or crackers.
